Ultra-wideband technology is used to detect your approach and turns on a welcome light and will unlock the door. The iDrive operating system uses the cloud-based navigation to monitor battery charge levels and point out charging stations. The operating system will be up to date with Remote Software Upgrade. The 14.9-inch LCD infotainment display can accept voice commands and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Charging is one of the first concerns a buyer has when thinking of switching from combustion to an all-electric engine. BMW has 2 years of complimentary charging at Electrify America, the most widespread charging network currently available. The 2022 BMW iX comes equipped with a flexible fast charger. This is a compact portable device that allows you to use both 120V and 240V charging outlets. BMW also has a Level 2 charging wall box for rapid charging at home.
