The Luxurious 2023 BMW 7 Series

Some people want a car to simply take them to point A to B. Some people also want a car with sporty features for an exhilarating ride. And some people, simply, want the best of the best. That’s where the 2023 BMW 7 series comes in. The 7 series takes BMW’s luxury and engineering to new heights, adding a plethora of luxury and high-tech features you’d expect from vehicles in the near future. The 2023 BMW 7 series features two core models, the 740i and 760i xDrive, and an available all-electric i7 xDrive60 (reviewed separately).
Read on to discover more about the 2023 BMW 7-series, so that you can choose the best BMW 7 series for your needs.

Premium Performance and Drivability

The base 2023 740i comes with standard RWD and sports a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6, paired to a 48-volt hybrid system. The turbocharged inline-6 makes a healthy 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds. Fuel economy for the 740i is an impressive 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The second trim, the AWD 760i xDrive, carries the same hybrid system, but pairs it to a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. The V8 is capable of a blistering 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, with a fuel economy of 18/26 mpg. 0-60 is achieved in 4.1 seconds. Performance wise, the 7-series delivers on every aspect. But performance is nothing without refinement; so how does the 7 series drive? For the 2023 model, it seems BMW ahs focused more on luxury than it has on sporty athleticism. Not to say that the BMW 7 series isn’t a hoot to drive, but you can tell most of BMW’s budget focuses more on the luxury side of things. For example, the 7 series’ cabin is incredibly quiet, without a hint of engine rumble. Various driving modes can be selected to automatically adjust the 7 Series’ suspension, and electric power steering helps with smooth cornering. Simply, the 7 series offers a quiet, but exhilaratingly fast ride, with more than enough technology to keep every passenger comfortable.

Additional performance features include:

  • Double-wishbone multi-link aluminum front suspension
  • Integral-V multi-link aluminum rear suspension
  • Servotronic power-steering assist
  • 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System
  • Brake-pad wear indicators and Cornering Brake Control
  • Dynamic Damper Control
  • 2-axle self-leveling air suspension

Bold Exterior

The first thing that stands out regarding the 2023 BMW 7 series is the bold front fascia. Featuring a large kidney grille and sharp lines, the front fascia exudes confidence and luxury.
Many BMW fans have complained about the oversized Kidney Grilles on other BMW models, but the Grilles look perfect on the larger BMW 7 series. The side profile of the BMW 7 is similar to other luxury flag ship sedans, such as the Roll’s Royce Ghost and Chrysler 300. Regarding exterior features, the BMW 7 Series will have 20-inch M Aerodynamic bi-color wheels, style 907 All-Season Non Run-Flat Tires, Aerodynamic Kit, Shadowline Exterior Trim, Power-Folding Heated Side Mirrors, Chrome Accent Finishes and Non-Metallic or Metallic Paint.

Ample Interior

The BMW 7 series offers one of, if not the best interior in the automotive industry. With immaculate focus on detail, quality, and functionality, the BMW 7 series sets a sky-high standard for all luxury vehicles.  BMW’s Curved Display makes a return for the 7 series. Combining a 12.3-inch instrument display with a 14.9 inch glass infotainment screen, the sleek Curved Display rests above a beautiful wooden open pore dash. Although many car enthusiasts complain about digital controls, the 7-series’ digital screens are thankfully responsive to the touch. Voice Recognition and 4-zone climate control are also standard. Additional features are available through packages such as  the Heat Comfort Package, which  grants you a heated steering wheel, center console heating, and arm rest heating. Regarding interior space, the 2023 BMW 7 series offers 41.2 inches of front leg room and 43.3 inches in the rear, with seating up to five. Cargo space is limited to 13.7 cubic feet.
