To celebrate 25 years since the debut of their first Sports Activity Vehicle, the Bavarian automaker is introducing a limited run of 2025 X5 Silver Anniversary Edition models — around 1,000 units. Sleek yet Rugged

The BMW X5 Silver Anniversary Edition is dressed in a unique Lime Rock Grey Metallic paint, a shade exclusive to this model. The bi-color 20-inch M Star-spoke wheels borrowed from the M Sport Package give it a distinctive stance while the Shadowline trim darkens the usual chrome bits, except for some aluminum accents from the Sport Package, subtly nodding to its off-road capabilities.

The xOffroad package is the real highlight of the Silver Anniversary Edition, however. This bundle, not available on any other current BMW X model, equips the X5 with a ton of goodies such as air suspension, underbody skid plates, and a mechanical locking rear differential. It also includes a suite of terrain-specific driving modes—xGravel, xRocks, xSand, and xSnow—making it more rugged than your typical luxury SUV. Plus, an off-road camera setting helps navigate tricky trails by displaying real-time footage and essential data on the infotainment screen.

Luxurious Interior Features

Inside, the Silver Anniversary Edition doesn’t skimp on luxury. It features carbon fiber trim, typically reserved for the high-performance X5 M models, and offers interior upholstery options in Black, Cognac, Coffee, or Silverstone. Live Cockpit Professional is standard, providing a heads-up display and BMW Maps navigation with augmented reality. The premium Harman-Kardon surround sound system, heated front seats, and heated armrests come as part of the Premium Package while practical touches like a roof rack, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo bay mat are included at no extra cost.
