The latest iteration of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé is on the horizon, and things are looking quite good for the small coupe. Scheduled for a March 2025 release, the sleek 2 Series four-door coupe delivers classic BMW sportiness with premium features throughout. So, whether you’re cruising through Owings Mills or taking on the open highway, the new 2 Series Gran Coupé promises a ride that’s as thrilling as it is refined.

A Significant Glow Up

With its extroverted design, the 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé delivers a more aggressive and eye-catching look than previous model years. The Kidney Grille is redesigned, but don’t worry, it’s not profanely oversized. Instead, it retains the classic shape, but now with a vertical and diagonal pattern. Meanwhile, the redesigned headlights—standard LEDs or optional adaptive LED units—give the 2025 2 series an aggressive, modern gaze.

The Gran Coupé’s silhouette is as sleek as they come, with a long hood, short overhangs, and an elegantly sloping roofline that leads to a sculpted rear. Adding to its athletic posture are striking notched taillights and hidden integrated exhaust pipes (except for the performance-driven M235 xDrive). Whether you opt for one of the seven metallic finishes or splurge on a BMW Individual paint, the 2 Series Gran Coupé looks handsome in all angles in our opinion.

Performance Receives a Boost

BMW has made notable improvements under the hood, too. The 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with a revised turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, pumping out 241 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque into the 228 xDrive. A bump from the previous model year’s 228 horses. The M235 xDrive gets even more potent, offering 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. These power increases translate into better performance, with the 228 xDrive hitting 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds and the M235 xDrive achieving the same feat in a swift 4.7 seconds.

High-Tech Interior with a Big Screen Focus

Step inside the 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe, and you’re greeted by a cutting-edge cockpit that looks like it was lifted straight out of BMW’s flagship models. A massive piece of glass stretches across the dash, housing a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. This setup runs BMW’s latest iDrive 9 software, complete with voice commands, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and cloud-based navigation.

Standard features are aplenty, with heated sport seats, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and wireless charging all included. There’s even an option for massaging front seats for those who crave luxury on long drives. The shift lever has been replaced with a sleek, modern toggle switch, aligning the Gran Coupe with BMW’s latest interior design trend.

Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance Features

The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé isn’t just about raw power; it’s also packed with technology that makes every drive more enjoyable. Standard driver assistance features like front collision warning, lane departure warning, and speed limit info take the stress out of city driving, while the Parking Assistant with reversing assistant helps you navigate tight spots effortlessly.

For those looking for more tech, optional extras like Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, and the Parking Assistant Professional (which lets you park using your smartphone!) are available to make your life even easier.
